What is SilvrWriting ?

• This new company is my "vehicle", to offer my Technical Writer services.
• These services are targeting high-tech companies with complex products that need to provide extensive technical documentation both internally (engineering) and externally (integration partners, installers, customers).
• Why would you consider sourcing these Technical Writer services elsewhere?
  1. Because accurate technical documentation can only be written by an highly educated and experienced senior engineer.
  2. Because well-readable technical documentation can only be written by a person that has well developed human communication and presentation skills, and also some knowledge of psychology and languages are helpfull.
  3. Because highly educated and experienced senior engineer are hard to find, and if you do, you would use them in ... actual engineering (right?)
  4. Because persons with well developed human communication and presentation skills typically are not developed in Engineering.
  5. Because by using my Technical Writing Services you get all of the mentioned qualities for a handsome price
     (the cost of my senior services are no more than the cost when hiring a dedicated medior employee).
• This business model is about providing "Technical Writing as a Service" -- I am not available as employee or contractor.
• My only conditions are:
  1. I get contracted for (re)writing entire technical documents, not just parts of it.
  2. I am designing the entire document: designing the document structure (parts, chapters, paragraphs), writing the base text, writing the (code, config) examples, and I am creating the diagrams or illustrations.
     (of course, the customer decides on the scope and topics)
  3. I am using my own tools and document editors.
     (of course, the customer decides on how the end product is delivered: next to the document-source (in my chosen format), in web-page format (HTML), as a PDF document, and/or in eBook format)
  4. I am executing the work in my own time, and from any (home) office location of my choosing.
     (of course, the customer sets the time-line and dead-line)
